Coral Harbour is an Inuit community located on Southampton Island, towards the north of the Hudson Bay. Its name comes from the fossilized coral that can be found in the waters near the community. The name of the settlement in Inuktitut is Salliq, which means flat.

Coral Harbour is one of Nunavut's hot spots for marine wildlife. Colonies of Walruses live on the nearby Coates Island. Two bird sanctuaries, the East Bay Migratory Bird Sanctuary and the Harry Gibbons Migratory Bird Sanctuary are a must-see sight for bird watchers. Common species to look for are snow geese, tundra swans, and sandhill cranes. Boat tours are offered on a regular basis to enable tourists to view the wildlife in the area.

Coral Harbour is the only Nunavut community that remains on Eastern Standard Time year-round, not observing Daylight Savings Time. Coral Harbour is only accessible by plane and the main transportation on the island itself is by snowmobile and dog sleigh when the sea is frozen, between the months of Novermer and July.
